Pre-Youth Academy Training Program

Good Morning,

We are excited to announce the Pre-Youth Academy Training Program starting this Fall. The program will train once a week for 8 weeks with Carolina Rapids youth academy coaches for all players born in 2013, 2012 and 2011. Sessions will go from 6:00-7:00pm on Friday evenings at Hickory Ridge Middle School’s training facility located behind the school.  This program is open and available to kids who play in any of our locations.

The curriculum is set up to develop and educate players to help them get ready for the youth academy level. The curriculum will include ball mastery skills, individual attacking and defending, passing and movement off the ball, and finishing on goal.

These sessions will give players an extra hour each week to help them grow and learn.

Registration is open now until September 12th on our website. Please see the link below to register.

If you have any questions please contact the Director of Cabarrus, Colin Gibson.

Thank you,

Carolina Rapids Cabarrus Recreation

We are excited to announce a partnership for Carolina Rapids Cabarrus and Harrisburg Parks and Recreation. Currently we offer competitive soccer for U9 through U14 and as we continue to grow we will offer competitive soccer for all age groups. Our partnership will complete the player pathway for recreation soccer providing a program for 4-18 years of age.

Players who do not wish to play at the competitive level are encouraged to enroll in Harrisburg recreation program. When looking for a more competitive level of soccer, players will have the opportunity to tryout with Carolina Rapids Cabarrus. Daniel Stines the Parks and Recreation Director for Harrisburg says “I am looking forward to working together and for the opportunity this will bring to the children”.

Communication Protocol

It is the Club's hope that a clear communication protocol will provide the Club's members a standardized mechanism for voicing their questions and concerns. The Carolina Rapids Board and Executive Director believe that to effectively operate an organization that is growing like the Rapids, it is important that the Club establish communication protocols that best support the efficiency of the organization while retaining the personal touch that our members deserve.

Any parent who has a specific concern should first make an attempt to solve it through the following path:
