Partnership with Novant Continues

Novant Health partners with Carolina Rapids Soccer Club
For Immediate Release

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Novant Health has partnered with the Carolina Rapids Soccer Club to provide advanced care during tournaments. Additionally, Novant Health will provide First Aid kids and First Aid and CPR training to all Carolina Rapids Soccer Club coaches and offer 24-hour support for any health-related concerns to all athletes.

“Partnering with the Carolina Rapids provides us the opportunity to live our mission of improving the health of our community, one person at a time,” said Tanya Blackmon, president of Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center. “We are honored to serve the residents of Huntersville and are proud to be Huntersville’s community hospital. So it’s more than fitting that we would partner with the Carolina Rapids to show our support for the Huntersville community which has supported us in such a tremendous way over the years.”

The investment Novant will make in our club over the next four years is a testimony to their commitment towards our club and the community.”

Carolina Rapids Soccer Club (formerly North Meck Soccer Club) has been a part of the Lake Norman area soccer community since 1987, providing over 3000 members opportunities to participate in the “best game in town”. Carolina Rapids Soccer Club is a 501 c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to player development, regardless of age and skill level. The club offers recreational and competitive soccer teams for boys and girls with an experienced coaching staff comprised of former professional and collegiate players.
